Tatiana Berenova

Principal Ballerina of Continental Ballet Company

Born in Gorky, Russia, Tatiana received her training with Ludmila Bogomolova in the Moscow Choreographic Ballet Academy, the official school of the world renown Bolshoi Ballet.

During a very interesting and successful twenty years career as an international ballerina, Ms. Berenova attained the rank Prima Ballerina at the National Academic Bolshoi Ballet Theatre of The Republic of Belarus and the Moscow Renaissance Ballet.  She was a guest star with the Moscow Imperial Ballet and many others Russian and American Ballet theatres and companies.

Her repertoire includes leading roles in Classical ballets as Odette/Odille in "Swan Lake", Kitri in "Don Quixote", Giselle and Myrta in "Giselle", Princess Aurora in "The Sleeping Beauty", Marie & Sugarplum Fairy in "The Nutcracker" and the roles of Cinderella, Raymonda, Firebird, Carmen, Esmeralda in ballets of the same name.

Ms. Berenova has also performed the works of many modern and contemporary choreographers including Antony Tudor, George Balanchine, Frederick Ashton, and Alberto Alonso.

During her professional career, Ms. Berenova has worked with great masters of Russian Ballet such as Raisa Struchkova, Nikolai Fadeyechev, Nina Ocipyan, Michael Lavrovsky as well as many others.

Ms. Berenova has toured North America, Europe, and Asia, and has performed as a guest artist with many of the world's leading ballet companies.

Her TV appearances include international networks such as CBS and a 25-min  film entitled " The Dance of Tatiana Berenova" created by Belarus National Television.

During a tout in Spain in August of 1995, Ms. Berenova received critical acclaim for her portrayal of Carmen in Alberto Alonso's "Carmen-Suite", which she performed as a Guest Star with the Classical Ballet of Minsk/Belarus. During her China and Taiwan "Swan Lake " tour in 1999, Chinese critics described her movements as " light, fluent and graceful, just like a true swan.  Her steps flowed like poetry, and her passion and energy traveled straight from her heart to the hearts of her audience."

Notable Performance:  Ms. Berenova was invited to participate in a series of Gala perform in Paris, Moscow (at the Bolshoi Theatre) and in St. Petersburg (at the Mariinsky Theatre), together with Prima Ballerina Maya Plisetskaya, Paris Opera Ballet Artistic Director and Premier Dancer Patric Dupond, Danish Royal Ballet principal and presently Best Choreographer and Artistic Director of The Bolshoi Theatre Alexey Ratmancky and Royal Winnipeg Ballet Prima Ballerina Evelyn Hart.  Ms.Berenova performed role of Carmen in " Carmen-Suite" and role of Myrtha in " Giselle"

In January 2008, Ms. Berenova as a Gold Medalist of the International Ballet Competition was invited as a Guest Star in the Prestigious "Gala des Etoiles" (Gala of the Stars) under the patronage of the Great-Duchess of Luxembourg with other stars of the competition and dancers of the Paris Opera.
