Creative Movement (ages 3-5): This class is a good first experience n movement and ballet for very young students.
Pre-Ballet (ages 5-7): Continued creative movement and introductory ballet for pre-school and early elementary school aged children who just can’t wait to start ballet lessons. This class will focus on listening, rhythm, coordination and beginning ballet movements.
Level I: First year of hour-long ballet class. Students may have had pre-ballet; combination classes or be new to dance. This class will begin discipline of barre exercises and proper classical technique. Students should take class once a week.
Level II: Students will remain at this level for several years while learning the fundamentals of classical ballet. Students will spend at least two years taking ONE class per week and at least one year taking TWO classes per week. Instructor and director placement is required to take two classes per week.
Level III: Beginning through intermediate pointe. This class is for those students just starting on pointe and those with less than two years experience on pointe. Students will remain at this level for at least two years. Students in this level should take three classes per week, plus Modern and Jazz.
Level IV: Female students must have had pointe lessons for at least two years and must secure instructor and Director Permission to enter this level. Students at this level should take four classes per week plus Modern and Jazz
Advanced: Students should have had pointe technique for a minimum of four years, and be proficient on pointe. Approval by Director is required. Students should take four or five classes per week plus Modern and Jazz
The School of Continental Ballet Company reserves the right to divide a student into two levels as we feel necessary, and to cancel and reschedule classes as necessary.
Dress code
Girls -- Pink Tights Pink Shoes, Black Leotard, Hair in Bun.
Pre Ballet/Level IA
-- Light Blue Leotard
Boys -- Black long Leggings, Black Shoes, White T-shirt.
